Recipe for a Spinach and Mushroom Omelet

A spinach and mushroom omelet is both healthy and delicious. If you have never had fresh mushrooms you are in for a treat. They are vegetarians replacement for meat. So consider the mushroom your "steak" and you now have a spinach and steak omelet. Button mushrooms are the cheapest and easiest to find. Make sure you do not wash the mushrooms, but merely wipe them with a damp cloth.

There is nothing more delicious than to have a spinach and mushroom omelet for breakfast or even lunch. Especially when you add in the cheese and tomatoes for that extra tasty flavor. The best time to eat spinach is in the summer time, picked straight from the garden. It makes you think of Jaime Oliver and his cooking show. Enjoy this omelet and make two as you will definitely want more.

Note: If you are heart conscious, you can reduce the butter and oil and use a non-stick spray in the skillet. You can use 2 whole eggs and 2 egg whites instead of the 4 whole eggs.

Spinach and Mushroom Omelet Ingredients:

- 4 organic free range eggs

- 1/2 cup of thinly sliced button mushrooms

- 1 cup of spinach

- 1/2 cup of chopped baby tomatoes

- 2 reen onions chopped finely

- 1/2 cup of cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or ricotta)

- 2 tablespoons of milk

- Salt and pepper to season

- 1 tablespoon ghee or butter or 2 teaspoons of virgin olive oil

Method of Preparation:

Preheat a oven to 450 degrees.

- 1. Chop all the veggies and set them aside.

- 2. Heat a skillet with 1 tablespoon of butter and 2 teaspoons of virgin olive oil.

- 3. When the fats have melted, add the mushrooms and onions and saute until the mushrooms are lightly brown and soft.

- 4. Remove the mushrooms and the onions. In the same saucepan place the spinach and wilt the spinach and when almost done add the tomatoes. Cook a few minutes more. Remove from the pan.

- 5. In a separate bowl, place the eggs, milk and salt and pepper. Beat the eggs with a wish until light and fluffy.

- 6. Check the skillet to see if it has enough oil to keep the eggs from sticking. If it does not have enough, add enough oil and brush over the skillet. Add in the egg mixture and tilt the skillet to evenly spread the mixture over the entire pan.

- 7. Drop the mushrooms and onions sparingly around the pan. Now add in the spinach and tomato mixture around the mushrooms.

- 8. Cook the omelet over low to medium heat and with a spatula keep checking the underneath of the omelet. When it is set and slightly brown, sprinkle the cheese on top.

- 9. Place the whole skillet under the broiler for around 5 minutes, until the eggs are cooked on top and the cheese is bubbly.

Remove from the oven and slide onto a plate and serve with some arugula leaves and a few slices of melon. If you like you can add some extra seasoning on top also.

For an extra bit of wonderfulness, have a salad of watercress and pomegranate seeds on the side or a nice pomegranate juice cocktail. Adding a spinach and mushroom omelet, not only makes you healthy, but extremely happy.

Being Diagnosed With MS and How I Recovered

Multiple Sclerosis is a debilitating and crippling disease and it is an auto immune disease. It robs you of life and it steals your very breath. It can cripple you to the point of not being in a wheel chair, but to the point of not knowing where you are. It robs you of your life, your mobility and it breaks many families up. It is a disease of the central nervous center and it stops the brain from being able to communicate with the spinal cord. Its many symptoms includes:

- Blurred vision, flashing lights

- muscle weakness

- slurred speech

- Partial numbness, face pain

- Loss of coordination

- shaking or tremors

- bowel problems

- memory problems

These are not all but the main ones. It is scary and it is frightening and it is alarming. I healed myself naturally without any medicine of any kind. I was saved by my lord, who took mercy on me so I could tell others. He blessed me and he will bless you too.

25 years ago I was diagnosed with Epstein Barr Virus, an incurable disease. It was very life threatening at the time as you become severely depressed and suicidal tendencies come to your mind. You are so intensely fatigued, that you cannot get out of bed and the nausea is the worse. But thanks to God, he helped me and I survived. I felt like I was a success story indeed.

So one day when watching TV, I saw a doctor saying anyone with EBV (Epstein Barr Virus) for more than 15 years had a huge chance of getting both cancer and MS, I was shocked. I started to do research and sure enough he was one hundred percent correct. From that point on I went on a drastic diet and lost 21 kilos. I was determined to save my life as everyone on my father's side died of cancer.
I reduced all my BMI to the healthy range. I reduced all my blood test, cholesterol, triglycerides, etc. My blood pressure was low and so was my sugar count. I had a perfect heart and blue eyes, so I was in great shape.

I did everything right. I did juices and follow the Budwig plan of yogurt and flax seeds also and cut out all the wrong fats and the ultimate ice cream. Then one day I got diagnosed with MS. Well how was that possible, I was in great health? It takes more than just diet, it takes a whole lot more. So, I spent the next few weeks trying to find a cure for MS. For Allah sends a cure with every disease. But in order to find the cure you have to have faith that Allah or God will give you the cure. So I could talk all night about the many diets I tried and the many supplements I experimented with but I think the best way is to tell you exactly what worked.

I tried to think tonight about why I am saved and it all comes back to my faith. Allah saved me for a special reason, I am not for sure why but he surely did and I am so thankful. I use to pray every night for help. I asked Allah over and over again to cure me and he did.

My story is very sad and for sure I do not want pity. I am just telling you what happened. I live alone in Jordan so when I got sick no one was here to help me. I struggled all alone but I was patient and felt all along I would be saved. I could not talk, I could not think, I could not walk hardly. So people came over and said "Tish, Tish, Tish. " What are they doing I thought? I would forget to turn the water off for over an hour, and I could not remember where I was and what I was doing.

I would go off and leave money and just terrible things. In my mind I was good, but when I talked I was not. People pitied me and it was terrible. I did not want any pity from anyone, I wanted to be well. So I had to quit working and just get well. Then I got diagnosed with early onset dementia. I thought, what? You got to be kidding. I am not that old. The doc tells me that it was either Parkinson or Alzheimer's. I said wait, I have MS and Parkinson or Alzheimer's. This has to be wrong.

They did a cat scan and wallah, I was indeed sick. Okay, now I had to really make war. If any of you are going through what I went through, then know that it is war, not a play game. You have to be dead serious about this and attack this like you would any enemy.

So no matter what I tried I always came back to Budwig. I left it a couple of times but my body felt bad. As you read a lot of diets about giving up dairy. I can't live without Budwig.

These are the things that worked for me. And as you will see they are very inexpensive things.

1. Budwig kousimine diet. Which is 1/2 cup of drained yogurt, juice of 1/2 lemon, 2 T. of raisin granola, 1.5 T. of ground flax seeds, 1/4 t. of cayenne, 1/2 t. of pollen, 1 crushed banana, 1 additional fruit. This once a day.
2. Budwig regular with 1/4 cup of drained yogurt with 1.5 T. of flax seed, 1/4 t. cayenne. This once a day.
3. Lots of juice, at least one large veggie juice and 1 large fruit juice per day
4. One cooked meal a day only. Like a large salad topped with beans.
5. No meats of any kind and no fish.
6. Turkey added after one month.
7. I made my own bread with baking powder, yogurt and olive oil and a mixture of grains. 1/2 whole wheat and 1/2 brown flour.
8. I limit the cheese to goat cheese and Parmesan cheese only.
9. I did have eggs sparingly.
10. lots of soups
11. Almond milk exchanged for milk
12. I loved green smoothies and top them with flax seed.

Supplements.
I cannot live without lecithin. It is a real must
1 take 1 capsule of kelp, 2 capsules of grape seeds, 2 capsule of turmeric, 2 capsules of ginger, 1 capsule of fennel, 3 capsules of olive leaf, 2000 mg of Vitamin C, Merck B complex. I take 2 b12 injections a month. (as my b12 is very high from the flax), ginkgo I used but found it did not help that much.

When my brain was real bad I used this elixir.
1/2 cup of yogurt,
1/2 cup of water
1 T. of olive oil
2 figs
1 sprig of rosemary. Put all in cup in refrigerator and the next day put in blender and mix well and drink.

Mentally:

I got rid of toxic relationships
I tolerated the less fortunate
I did as many good deeds as I could
I prayed more and read more of my Quran.
I did EFT (Emotional freedom technique) but not as much as I should.
I learned to do what pleases me and to always think good of others
I apologized even when I was not at fault just to feel good at the end of the day.

At times I was explosive and it helped me. We need to let off steam and I found quickly who was my friend and who was not. My friends understood I was sick and it was part of the healing so they were patient. If someone is your friend they are with you thick and thin. Anyone who abandons you is not your friend and I don't need them in my life. It took me a long time to realize that one.

I invested in a real good juicer, blender and I got rid of all gas appliances and heating out of my house. Yes, that is right I live in an all electric home. It is expensive but it is mandatory for someone who wants to get well. I also got rid of all aluminum cooking ware. I also do not eat anything in a can. I make everything fresh. Everything is homemade or I don't eat it. It is a rough lifestyle and expensive at times but I am a survivor.

I did many herbal parasite cleansing and the best is the pumpkin cleanse. I juiced an entire pumpkin and drank the juice in a small amount of time. Some called it sadistic but it works. I took many other remedies including pineapple and papaya and found the pumpkin the best.

I cleaned my colon 3 times, from using Dr. Schultz to the 3 day watermelon cleanse. I did a 4 day pumpkin and pineapple cleanse but it was not as successful as the
watermelon cleans. I did 3 liver cleanses too. So you can see this protocol included many facets. Your body cannot be clean unless you clean the colon and a sure fire way to keep the colon clean is with juices. Meats and rices plug up your colon with toxic materials and you will remain sick.

I have to admit maybe I was blessed more than most and maybe Allah sent a cure to me because I am alone and worked so hard to be well. Not everyone agrees, but Allah knew my heart was there. I was so trying hard to please God, so he would want to please me and he did. So where is my cure, in Allah's hands. I give all credit to him and I want to thank all those who helped me along the way. I will never forget the kindness of many and the many letters I received from many well wishers. It meant so much to me and kept me strong. Is my battle over, no way. I must keep fighting my whole life to make sure I stay well but I am up for the battle.

What has changed with me? First I can climb mountains now. Before I was so out of breath and could not climb a simple hill and now I can walk all the way up without stopping. I am more calm, well most days. I take things in better strive, My complexion is in good shape, My bones are stronger than ever, I don't have any pains and I feel happy. It is amazing what happiness can do for you. I spend my nights writing to who I can trying to help who I can. In other words pay it forward. I am not sure if I covered everything but I think so.

The simple approach is better. You don't need to spend an arm and a leg on the protocol but you do have to have your mind in the right place. You have to believe with all of your heart and to have faith. You have to keep your environment clean, as your body and you have to get rid of all gas out of your home. Okay, maybe that is the expensive part. I sold all of mine and I used the money to replace my heaters with. I have investigated about the cooking part and the over all consensus is number one, people with brain disorders should not be cooking anyway so I opted to buy a two place hot plate and I am happy with that. Many doctors have stated that if you are not willing to get rid of the gas, you will not get better. Immediately, I removed them and I got well.

How long did this all take? Only a few months. People are astonished at how quickly I recovered. Today I visited my friend and she was flabbergasted at how much I had improved. She told me you are cured, she was right I am cured! What a beautiful sound to hear that you are cured and you can think and you can write. Through my sickness, I found a cure and through that cure I opened 4 forums to tell others about this miracle. Sometimes bad things bring good blessings. Have faith in your lord and pray for a miracle and he will give you one, believe me I know.

New hope for MS patients from UV light from the sun (beyond vitamin D)

(NaturalNews) It's not a new idea that multiple sclerosis (MS) is somehow tied to sunlight -- or, rather, the lack of adequate exposure to sunlight. For more than three decades, researchers have noted that MS is much more common in higher latitudes than in the tropics. So, because bright sunlight is more abundant near the equator and sunlight exposure results in the body producing vitamin D, some scientists have reasoned that increased vitamin D levels may lower the risk of MS.

In fact, for those who already have MS, a neurological disease marked by a deterioration in nerves' electrical conduction, vitamin D may reduce their symptoms, according to Hector DeLuca, the Steenbock Research Professor of Biochemistry at University of Wisconsin-Madison. However, in a study just published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science (PNAS), DeLuca and fellow researcher Bryan Becklund conclude the ultraviolet (UV) portion of sunlight could play an even more important role than vitamin D in preventing and/or controlling the MS.

"Since the 1970s, a lot of people have believed that sunlight worked through vitamin D to reduce MS," DeLuca, one of the world's top vitamin D researchers, said in a statement to the media. "It's true that large doses of the active form of vitamin D can block the disease in the animal model. That causes an unacceptably high level of calcium in the blood, but we know that people at the equator don't have this high blood calcium, even though they have a low incidence of MS. So it seems that something other than vitamin D could explain this geographic relationship."

To try to better understand the impact sunshine could have on MS, Deluca and his team worked with lab mice that are genetically bred to be susceptible to a MS-like disease. The researchers triggered the disease in the animals by injecting them with a protein derived from nerve fibers. Then the mice were exposed to moderate levels of UV radiation (UVR) for a week. After the lab rodents developed multiple sclerosis-type symptoms, they were exposed to UVR every second or third day.

The UV exposure, which was equal to about two hours of direct summer sun, did not change how many mice got an MS-type illness, but it did reduce the symptoms of MS. Symptoms were especially reduced in the animals that were treated with UV light ever other day.

While the scientists found that although the UV exposure did increase the level of vitamin D in the mice, that effect by itself wasn't enough to cause such a dramatic lessening of MS symptoms. "These results suggest that UVR is likely suppressing disease independent of vitamin D production, and that vitamin D supplementation alone may not replace the ability of sunlight to reduce MS susceptibility," the scientists concluded in their paper.

In a media statement, DeLuca pointed out that the exposure to UV light might result in some reactive mechanism that blocks the autoimmune damage seen in MS. "We are looking to identify what compounds are produced in the skin that might play a role, but we honestly don't know what is going on," he said. "If we can find out what the UV is producing, maybe we could give that as a medicine. In the short term, if we can define a specific wavelength of light that is active, and it does not overlap with the wavelengths that cause cancer, we could expose patients who have been diagnosed with MS to that wavelength," DeLuca added.

Physical Activity and Exercise

Physical Activity and Exercise
Good physical fitness, health and wellness are all states of being that a person possesses.

On of the principle ways to achieve these states of being is by performing regular physical activity.

Physical activity is a general term that includes sports, dance and activities done at home or work, such as walking climbing stairs or moving the lawn.

Physical activity can be done to complete a specific job, to enjoy recreation or to improve your physical fitness.

Sometimes you do physical activity with a specific purpose in mind; other times you just do it with no real purpose other than enjoyment.

When people do physical activity especially for the purpose of getting fit, we say they are doing exercise.

Even though the terms physical activity and exercise have slightly different meanings, they are sometimes used interchangeably.

You should remember is that physical activity and exercise are important to your fitness, health and wellness.

Using PayPal When Living Abroad

There are many US citizens living and working abroad in countries which cannot use PayPal. PayPal is used by many, many countries to pay their employees, especially freelance writers. With so many complications in the pay schedule, more and more US citizens are seeking ways to use PayPal and still live out of the country.

Here is a solution to the problem which is very easy to do. First of all, PayPal is very cooperative in helping anyone setup a PayPal account, but in many steps they will make suggestions and you have to do the rest. This is the solution that I used to resolve my problems with them. I am a freelance writer for both Helium and Suite101 and they both require the use of PayPal. You can contact payPal here and find out the best solution for you.

Step number 1:

The first thing you must do as many of us did was to close our existing PayPal account. I opened a PayPal account, not realizing Jordan was not an acceptable country through PayPal. I was very disheartened and did not know how to support myself and satisfy PayPal's requirements, so a customer service representative told me what to do.

He told me to use an address in America and have a bank account there if possible. Opening a bank account in America: So I opened a Bank of America Checking account through the Internet at Bank of America and they were so nice to help me. I did not have to mail in ID's or anything, they verified who I was by asking me a series of questions.

They knew where I lived 30 years ago and I had to laugh at trying to remember my old addresses. They also check on your former employments. After I was verified, she gave me 30 days to make a deposit. The initial deposit is $25 and there is no monthly fees if you open the "My Access Checking Account" over the Internet. I can make transfers, such as sending money to PayPal and pay bills too.

I have a paperless statement set up with them. The stipulation they have, like PayPal is that you need to have a place in America who can receive your mail and your ATM cards.

Step number 2:

I closed my PayPal account and found that I could not reopen the account again using an address in America. I guess their computers are very smart. So again I contacted PayPal and they told me how to get around this problem. I called my sister and told her to open the account for me and verify my bank account. She did that and it opened fine.

Keep in mind that you cannot open the PayPal account until you receive your ATM card from Bank of America, so you can verify bank information with PayPal. After I opened my bank account, I called Bank of America and set up a pass code and site code protecting my security. I am now able to do many things. After I had the pass code, I went on-line with PayPal and automatically verified my bank account.

Usually they send a small amount of money to your bank account and ask you to verify the amount of money deposited. To avoid this three day waiting period, I gave
them the user name and pass code and the verified my account instantly. I now can receive my paychecks through PayPal.

It is absolutely wonderful, as I can send gifts to my son for Christmas, I can pay my private editor for the help she gives me and yes even send my sister a birthday present. All these transfers with PayPal are absolutely free. I can also request money from my bank account and PayPal does not charge but Bank of America does charge $3 for this service.

I cannot tell you how happy this makes me to have this problem settled. It did take a little bit of time, but it is well worth the effort. Western Union cost very much to wire money, where PayPal transfers the money instantly and without a fee. I hope my way of opening my account with PayPal is of service to everyone in my same situation.

What is Veganism?

Environmental problems, undepleted uranium, contaminated soils and even drugs in the water systems, these are all worries not just for vegans but for the whole world. As more and more vegans seek to be animal products free, it becomes more difficult to find even organic fruit that was not raised with the use of animal manures.

The old mom and pop way of life is gone and now the farmers are all relying on chemicals and animal by-products. It becomes more and more important for every vegan to have their own organic garden. It is not a maybe anymore but a requirement. When the vegan stands up against animal cruelty and then consumes by products of animal cruelty, what has been accomplished. A simple garden is in order.

Veganism is a way of life, not a religion. It means eating as much organic produce as possible and it means being careful with all you ingest. What better way to go organic than with your own personal garden. Whether it is a patio garden with some local herbs, such as mint, parsley, coriander and watercress or a full fledged garden with every melon and vegetable imaginable, it is all possible. Going raw as much as possible is the key.

Jamie Oliver's show which showcased his own huge back yard garden with his gardener, pushed the world of veganism closer to reality, as we watched how he prepared his foods and how easy they are to grow. Jamie became fatter and more happy and he taught everyone how to prepare many dishes. Our hats off to Jaime on this day.

A vegan lifestyle is more than just recipes and foods, it is a way of life. That life requires that you cannot be cruel to animals. Animal cruelty is the main reason that many vegetarians switch to being vegans. So, the best way to be a vegan is to grow your own food. This way you know exactly what is in the ingredients.

Growing your own garden, can be organic and it can be a lot of fun. Vegans must stay away from all processed foods including dairy and eggs. Many vegans do not realize that processed sugars are off the tables too, so you must either have honey or agave nectar. A good solution is water soaked dates for the sugar. So what exactly can a vegan have to eat? Anything he wants, as long as it is not processed or a animal product.

This leaves the field open for plenty of fruits, vegetables and nuts and seeds. A perfect garden is both organic and varied. You can grow tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, green onions, water cress, basil, mint, green peppers and more. If you look at this list, you will see a salad. There is nothing better than to go outside and pick yourself a fresh green salad. You don't even have to wash the greens, as you know exactly what is on the veggies, nothing.

An organic garden would have no pesticides at all. Most vegans must be aware of their health and protein, so they must substitute with things like beans and flax seeds or chia seeds. A salad topped with some freshly cracked pumpkin and sunflower seeds is marvelous. There can be no cheese, as this is animal products. But what you can have is a huge salad with nuts and seeds topped with pomegranate seeds.

Yes, from your garden. For breakfast you can have a green smoothie from your garden such as:

- 1 cup of spinach
- 1 cup of water
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1 pear
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 ground tablespoon of flax seed and pollen mixed.

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend for 45 seconds.

An easy breakfast full of vitamins and nutrients. Being vegan is not difficult with the right planning. Having a garden is both fun and relaxing and something you can involve your whole family in. It is not only important for you to be vegan but your children also.

Do People Have a Right to Judge Michael Jackson?

Enough is enough. Please give Michael Jackson a break. How many of his enemies ran to criticize him even at his death. As the many tabloids rolled out with news of a possible drug overdose, his accusers surfaced. Why didn't anyone think of murder, why didn't anyone care? As his body lied in a cold morgue, was he not human or was he just news.

The first thought that ran through the news channels was that MJ was a constant drug user and he was hiring people to bring him more drugs. The doctor of his, claimed his phone was not working and had to wait 30 minutes before calling for help and yes poor Michael was in a room that no one had access too. All he wanted to do was to go to sleep and rest. Michael had a huge concert tour coming and he was so tired and so worried, he could not maintain the 50 day concert duty he was contracted to do. If any of the accusers had ever had insomnia before , then they too would know of his panic. The desperation just to close your eyes and relax.

The laying of hours in a bed not finding rest. Michael just wanted to go to sleep. "This is it," the name of the tour was right on as Michael Jackson had been out of the public eye for many years. This is it, was a tour named for Michael's great come-back tour. He had children and he had a life and he was good. So why are you judging a man who is in the Guinness book of records as giving more charity than any other star?

He gave so much of his proceeds that there was no one else to compare with him. Why was everyone believing the tabloids? Why wasn't anyone having faith in the real Michael Jackson. He was a father, a husband and a lover of humanity. He was a brother, a son and he was the greatest pop singer in this world or the universe. Rise up oh fans of Michael Jackson and say enough. Rise up and give him his due credit. As he is being nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize now, not because he was a molester, but because he was a great humanitarian. Michael Jackson set many
records with Guiness to include:

1. Most Successful concert series - Michael Jackson sold out the seven nights at Wembly Stadium, England in 1988.
2. Biggest Selling Album of all time - Thriller.
3. 80's most #1 hits.
4. Most awards.
5. Entertainer of the decade - from his Thriller and Bad albums, Michael was the 1980's Entertainment of the Decade.
6. Most Grammy awards - Michael won 8 Grammy Awards in 1984.
7. Largest Contracts - Sony Music contract for 890 million dollars.
8. Greatest Audience - 133.4 million viewers watched him at half time at the Super Bowl in 1993.
9. Highest paid spokesperson - Pepsi Cola paid Michael Jackson 12 million dollars to do 4 TV commercials.
10. Bad tour - Michael Jackson's world tour had a record gross of 124 million during 1987-1988.
11. 100 million records.
12. Billboard charts - The only person in 37 years to enter number one with his single, "You are not alone."
13. Biggest selling video - The video Thriller is the biggest video release
d by an artist.
14. Billboard "Hot 100" singles chart - Most #1's by a male artist (13).
15. #1 Debuts - Michael Jackson's Bad, Dangerous and History, all debuted as number one.
16. Consecutive number one singles - Jackson 5 had four consecutive #1 singles.
17. #1 on charts.
18. First Video - First black artist to be aired on MTV.

So if you want to judge Michael Jackson, then judge this record with the Guinness book of records. No one can top it and no one ever will. He was special and he was a friend to many. As seen when he died, the mourning and the outpouring to this poor lost soul. As the news arrived that he died from manslaughter not from drug over dose, the souls cried out in anguish and the world became silent once more. Rest in peace Michael Jackson. We will always miss you.
