Weight Loss Without Diet and Exercise

Is it a weight loss without diet and exercise really possible?
The technology also extends to the transformation of body and beauty of all higher and higher, so the English researchers under the leadership of Dr.Gerta Vrbov from London University to develop a device Futura pro, which combines the latest technology to ensure the healthy and beautiful body. How does it work?
The base appliance is a COM technology, which means that the unit operates on the basis of optimal cell modulation. Different pulses through the electrode Patches, which are carefully positioned on the problematic parts of the body, directly stimulate the central nervous system signals. In doing so, you can choose between different frequencies, waveform and pulses - depending on what you want to achieve results. The appliance is a solution for all who want to transform the body effectively, a free diet and physical exercise. The advantage of the existing apparatus is that it can perform six different programs simultaneously. If you interfere with cellulite on the thighs, buttocks and loose skin of the knees, fat stores in the abdomen, the lips around the eyes, with all the problems you can end at once. All you need is the time to visit the beauty salon and at half-hourly relaxing therapy.

Teens Healthy Weight

Many teens try to lose weight in unhealthy ways. They're often drawn to fad diets, skip meals or omit entire food groups -- all of which is harmful to their growth and development.
The best way to maintain a healthy weight is through healthy eating and a physically active lifestyle. If your teen is far above or below his or her healthy weight range, he or she may need to consult with a registered dietitian to assess where appropriate changes can be made. Be active regularly because it feels good, not just for weight control.

If you suspect an eating problem, speak with your doctor.
Dieting should be monitored as it sometimes leads to bigger eating problems.
The body mass index is a number calculated from a child's height and weight. The BMI is used as a screening tool to identify possible weight concerns in children that may lead to health problems. For children and teens, the body mass index is age- and gender-specific and is often referred to as BMI-for-age.
Measure a teen's height and weight regularly, at least once a year for adolescents, to recognize the pattern of growth that is normal for them.

Super-Health Food

Soy protein powder is a super-health food that you can use in more than just smoothies . If you're in a hurry, want a meal that's easy, healthy, carries, & helps you avoid junk food temptation, try this. Try the basic first; then you can toss in dried cranberries, chopped walnuts, other great eats. Also sugar-free preserves, although that requires a little tweaking with the liquid to dry ingredients ratio. So try this first:

Quickie Oatmeal Protein Cake: Seconds to make, 2 minutes in microwave, no clean up! Each 205 calories, 0 g cholesterol, 23 g carbs (from the oatmeal), & 17 g protein (3/8 daily protein requirement, which is 45 grams.)

½ cup quick cook oatmeal
1 slightly mounded scoop Soy Protein Powder
1 tbsp Splenda
1/3 cup plus 3 tablespoons water

Super-Health Food

Spray inside of Pyrex measuring cup. Combine all ingredients in the cup, gently push down to avoid air pockets at bottom, microwave 2 minutes, cool a bit, & pop out or ease out with a knife. That's all. You can also place one of those pleated paper cupcake holders inside the cup, & spray the paper thingie instead. It shouldn't be necessary, though; the point here is speed & ease.

Reduced calorie diets

Reduced calorie diets are what most people mean when they say "low calorie." Reduced calorie diets involve lowering your overall caloric intake based upon your normal daily requirements. For example, if you normally require 2,000 calories per day, and you reduce your caloric intake to 1,500, you save 500 calories per day. The result is a one pound loss per week as the body consumes body fat to replace the missing calories. Adding 500 calories worth of calorie-burning exercise to your routine results in an additional one pound per week of lost fat.
In order to lose weight, you must take in fewer calories than you burn off each day.If your goal is to lose weight and you do not see changes just with increased physical activity, then reducing portions and servings may help, while still using the pyramid as a guide.

Go Organic

Gold cauliflower

Everyone ate organic food until chemical pesticides and herbicides were invented in the last hundred years or so. The label "organic" is a bit of a misnomer, since all food is chemically organic because it is carbon-based. But organic in the context of food now means it is produced without the use of conventional pesticides and artificial fertilizers, is free from contamination by human or industrial waste, is processed without ionizing radiation or artificial food additives, and does not contain genetically modified organisms (GMO). Also, in the context of livestock, use of antibiotics or growth hormones is not allowed.

Cows and chickens

Organic foods are becoming more popular again as people realize that our bodies don't need the extra burden of harmful chemicals. Some foods are more likely to be contaminated by pesticides. Also, certain foods are more likely to contain GMOs. Avoiding those foods will also reduce your exposure, but that approach is getting more difficult, especially with GMOs since there is no labeling requirement. Buying organic foods from sources that you can trust is the best way to promote healthy foods. Beware of cut-rate vendors that offer "organic" products from overseas that may not really meet expected organic standards. Some unscrupulous producers and vendors may also falsely label food as organic. So knowing your food source is ideal - another good reason to buy local foods from producers that you know and trust.

The Organic Consumers Association (OCA) is probably the largest organization that promotes organic food and defends organic standards. OCA has a wealth of information on their web site and is worthy of consideration for your support. The video below about organic food was included in a recent OCA newsletter.

We need to get back to producing and preparing foods like our healthy ancestors. We vote with our dollars - buy organic sustainable foods.

Fitness benefits of Hiking and Backpacking

Fitness benefits of Hiking and Backpacking
Hiking help increase and maintain fitness levels and contribute to health and well being. One of the great things about hiking is that you can use it to get in shape backpacking.

Hiking and backpacking are fun ways to burn calories, spend times with other people and eat well.

Sunlight offers vitamins D and E, both important for immune functions as well as increased serotonin levels, which elevate mood. Nature has a restorative power and can help alleviate depression.

Contact with nature is correlated with living longer and actual biochemical changes occur in response to trees, plants and animals. As we enjoy the sights and sounds of nature, in addition to learning something about the nature environment, stress levels decrease and endorphins, which also elevate mood, are released.

We experience long term benefits from improving and maintaining physical fitness through hiking and backpacking both on the trail and at home. Moderate physical activity can result in lower healthy care cost and increased work performance.

Regular exercise improves mental healthy, providing a holistic sense of wellness, more positive moods and emotions, better mental clarity and better stress management skills, enabling us to better respond to the demands and joys of life.

This leads to higher self confidence, greater self competence, and better judgment and decision making.

Threemile Idaho

I have many rituals in my practice, but the most powerful healing ritual for me is what I call a "three-mile Idaho." I live about 1¼ miles from the Idaho border just east of Palouse, WA, in a very lovely setting along the North Fork of the Palouse River. A gravel road heads east from here along the river, and over the years of living here I have discovered how transformative that walk can be. If I go another ¼ mile past the border, the river valley opens up to an expansive plain where Palootspu and Nez Perce would camp in summer before Europeans came to this country, and right at that point is a portal of sorts with Ponderosa pines on either side of the road, framing the view of the valley. Walking to that point and back is almost precisely three miles.

When I have been miserable, stressed-out, unable to see how to go forward from an impossible situation, I have found that I can hold my crisis in my heart-mind and walk out the door, down that road. The walk is long enough that I can go through every voice inside me, and I begin to sort through them, watching the unconstructive voices fall away as I become invigorated with the exercise, breathing deep into my center. The unresolvable struggles transform somehow to become understandable, manageable. Often there are moments of absolute clarity. Over the years, various "stations" along the walk have become associated in my mind with particular transcendent insights, and if I linger at those points I seem to be able to draw on those experiences in addressing whatever I am carrying at the moment. When I reach the portal, I greet the trees on either side and step through. If the moon is out, or the Milky Way, I align somehow with them, breathing and stretching. I offer whatever I have to the spirit of that place.

Then I turn towards home, and every time it feels as though a huge weight has been lifted from my being. The return trip integrates the transformation into the world I left at home, with everything in perspective.

Of course, I also go on three-miles to entertain my dog and collect native plant seeds, but the ceremonial three-mile Idaho is in an entirely different league. I believe it has saved my sanity on several occasions.
